It Was Just an Accident Movie Review

IMDb   I Actually Found This Movie by Accident Yes, I know it sounds a bit meta, but I found the It Was Just An Accident movie completely by accident last month when I hopped on a flight with no plan of what movie to watch. The flight was only about ninety minutes, so I filtered my movie search to movies under two hours in runtime, and perused my options. I’m not sure why, but this movie just sprang out to me more than the others, even though I’d never heard of it. So just like that, I jumped right in, basically blind with regards to what it would actually encompass. It had me engaged until the 1-hour, 44-minute runtime caused me to deboard the flight with still a few minutes left to finish the movie (terrible planning on my part, I know), which I ended up finishing up a few days later. And so my accidental stumbling on this film by Jafar Panahi came to an end.   The Story Behind The Movie Before watching this movie, I had no idea who Jafar Panahi was. ...

About Ched Chichester

From Introverted Beginnings
My journey started in the bustling streets of Queens, New York, before my family moved down south to Powder Springs, Georgia—a suburb of Atlanta. The transition across the country was difficult for my childhood self, and afterward I found myself drawn to books as a futile attempt to escape the need to make new friends. My love for books eventually birthed a love for writing, and by the time I was in middle school, I was aspiring to one day become a fantasy author. Fast forward twenty-plus years, and I'm still a book lover—though now my taste leans much darker than it used to—and in 2025, I finally took the plunge into starting my author career.

I've written three novels: a grimdark fantasy, a middle-grade horror, and a dark thriller. I'm currently submitting these novels to publishers in the hopes of getting them out to the world in the near future (wish me luck!). As you can likely tell from that list, my love for dark fiction has spread into my writing, and it has served as the impetus for the creation of my blog, where I cover any and all dark topics from books, movies, and folklore.

My Professional Side
By night, I'm binging the latest dark fiction book or movie. But in the daytime, I lean away from the macabre and into the analytical. I’m currently a PhD student at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. My PhD dissertation research focuses on biomedical modeling and mathematical biology; I'm still trying to figure out how to work these concepts into a dark sci-fi novel.

Probably twenty feet away from a wild African elephant!

Behind the Scenes
When I’m not deep in research or drafting my next grim tale, I’m usually trying to experience the world in any way I can. You can find me taking photos of wildlife, hiking through silent woods, or traveling the world to places I'd love to include in one of my future stories.
